Odd Shots Monday – 09/28/08

Hockey belongs to the Cartoon Network, where
a person can be pancaked by an ACME anvil,
then expanded – accordion-style – back to
full stature, without any lasting side effect.

Continuing with a virtual vacation on the gulf coast of Florida, today’s “Odd Shot” is the front wall of the Ellenton Ice & Sports Complex (formerly, J.P. Igloo). The sculpture is so large that it can easily be seen from the interstate.

When we weren’t at a Lightning game in Tampa, my camera and I could be found shooting the pickup games at the Igloo.

Cool picture. I like that he’s depicted busting through the wall like that. :-)

    What a fantastic shot!
It looks huge in this photo; but seen from the interstate must mean it is REALLY huge.

  3. Gattina says:

That’s really odd ! I think I would be scared if I suddenly see somebody jumping out of a wall, lol !

  4. Fantastic. Genuinely odd

Fnatastci genuinely odd is my comment. My partner hadn’t logged out of my machine(argh)

  6. Cool sculpture. Hockey is the only sport I sort of like. I used to follow it, but that was MANY years ago. I don’t know much more exciting than a live hockey game.

  7. Paulie says:

Uniquely odd! Come and see mine.

A splendid choice. Whoever did this was very, very talented.
