Watery Wednesday #46

One of my favorite spots to relax is McGalliard Falls in Valdese, North Carolina. I enjoy sitting on the rocks in McGalliard Creek and watching the water rushing over the 40 foot drop to the base of the falls.

Every year, in early June, the town of Valdese stocks the creek above the falls with 1200 rainbow trout and hosts a fishing tournament for kids under 15 and seniors 55 and older. Trophies are awarded for catching the most fish in each age group. At noon, they grill hotdogs and have a fish fry for the families.

Name Change

After I spent three days combining all of my blogs into a new one, my links disappeared into the Twilight Zone. Much ~~swearing~~ griping took place. I was also annoyed with the blog templates – none of them were wide enough and didn’t do what I wanted. Plus, the server was so slow that I kept falling asleep on my keyboard while waiting for it to upload or save. I decided it was time to take matters into my own hands, or suffer with a permanent key imprint on the end of my nose.

So, here we are with a(nother) new name (actually, it is the name of my original blog) and a blazing fast server. Try to bear with me while I work out the kinks. If you find it hard to read or navigate, please let me know and I will fix it while I’m tinkering.

To those of you who have attempted to follow my blog, thank you for sticking around! I tried to use one of the original titles but the domain names weren’t available. Cross my heart (somebody get the needles for my eye!), I won’t change the name or the url again!
