First Baptist Church in downtown Hickory. The clouds sneaking up behind the steeple brought some rain yesterday afternoon, which looks like it is going to stick around for a few days.

I love cloud that bubbles up from the horizon like that – very powerful stuff. America seems to have a lot of Baptist type churches that are of the establishment. Ours are only ever very poor and have rickety old halls.

My daughter always tells me about the rule of thirds in photography (I am a newbie), and this one is an exception. Very well composed, and perfect lighting. The three colors make one patriotic post Happy a nice weekend Stephany.

My little one went to preschool at First Baptist in Cary – we have the same trees blooming in Raleigh now – in white, pink red and purple – very beautiful photo – classic American beauty!
