Biltmore House (Asheville, NC) offers a variety of bulbs for sale to the public. This is one of their “Muscadet” Oriental Lilies. The flowers are huge and have the most wonderful fragrance. I have four of them in pots in my breezeway. For about six weeks (June/July), when the door is open, the whole house smells like lilies.
I photographed this at night (the flower had just opened that morning), after the rain, so you would be able to see the red polka dots and the blush of pink on the petals.

You have taken an exquisite photograph. It is just beautiful and I love the quote that you chose to go along with it. Thank you very much for sharing with Today’s Flowers. Denise´s last post … My World Tuesday – Washington DC
