Today’s Flowers #86

in our hearts well out of proportion to their size.”

Guest photographer! My brother in Florida sent me these photos and I decided I would post them for Today’s Flowers. They have had an unusually cold (and long) winter this year but it didn’t stop the azaleas from blooming. According to our mom, the roots of the pink azalea aren’t even in the ground any more. It was planted at the base of a Camphor tree and the roots of the tree have pushed the azalea roots out of the ground.

Next week, I should have photos of my Jane magnolia. It has several large buds just starting to unfold.

Unfortunately we will have to wait a several weeks to see azaleas blooming around here. But if they are half as pretty as these the wait will be worth it!

  3. Carver says:

Those are beautiful azaleas. It will be at least a month, maybe longer before my azaleas are in bloom. Wonderful seeing these.

Raindrops always add something special to flower blossoms. These are really beautiful.
Thanks for stopping by my place!

Hi Stephany, thanks for dropping by. These shots are gorgeous! Flowers at their best early in the morning. Love the dew drops!

I am afraid that the cherry blossom buds I have taken 3 weeks ago, cannot be posted anymore. Our cherry blossom trees in the lake are in full bloom.

No flowers post for me today, just got back from a road trip thru the famous RTE 66.

P.S. I am taking a brief break from blogging. Enjoy your week, and I hope your hands are feeling better. I do not have arthritic hands anymore, but it moved down to my knees, hahaha! I have been hiking for the past month and it seems that my knee joints are feeling better. Take care.

  9. Beautiful azalea blossoms with droplets ;-)
    Hugs and blessings,

I saw these and thought you couldn’t possibly have blooms like this yet. :)
Tell you brother or maybe he’ll see this – gorgeous shots! I especially love the second shot. Such clarity in the drops – nicely captured.
