Carletta, these are so bright and cheerful they made me think of your granddaughter, Lily, so I’m posting them for both of you.
Every photo that I took, regardless of the settings, the color ended up looking like this. Of course, the blinding sunlight didn’t help. After trying for over an hour to get the color right, I gave up and decided to post them anyway. They are really a very dark red, almost maroon.
I have forgotten what the names are (other than lily) . I planted eight last year – they only grew about six inches and didn’t have a single bud. This year, each one is about three feet tall (my breezeway looks like a jungle) and has a cluster of five buds.
Hello Stephany…og, girl..I love the header of your blog…very nice…
The shots this week are amazing…the color of passion…very sensual…
Have a nice day, dear
Your lens captured the real color. Love the shimmer of the petals. Lily is the birth flower for May.
P.S. Age is catching on me, hehehehe, my knee gave in. We went hiking yesterday and I did not finish the second part of Smugglers Cove which has the abundant tidepool creatures.
Ahhhhh!
You are so sweet!
I can’t here the word Lily without thinking of my little Lily. Just left her and Lucy and got home Saturday.
I love the photo – so bright and vivid – it’s lovely!

Stephany: That is a very strong color on the lily, you captured them beautifully.
I love the intensity of the colours, and the shadows of the stamens on the petals!
