My lilies have put on quite a show this week and continue to open every day. I love the yellow ones but the pink (Strawberries & Cream) are my favorites of the Asiatic strain. The peach day lily has been around for four years but I think this is the first time I have posted a photo of it.
The other day, I discovered a family of chipmunks have made a home in my breezeway (which explains why my strawberries kept disappearing). I always thought they lived in trees or burrows but I see them creeping out of a hole in the brick underneath the peony (1st photo, far right). I haven’t been able to get any pictures because they freak out when they see me and scurry back into the hole.
Next weekend I am off to Wisconsin for a long overdue visit with my son, daughter (i-l) and grandcat. If the buds on my Biltmore lily decide to open before I leave, I will post photos.
I love the strawberries and cream color. The lilies make a perfect addition to the garden.
Hehehe, your chipmunks are wise. Yesterday, in our hike we saw one just peeping through its hole, and since we were noisy, he hid and covered the hole with leaves.
Have a nice vacation time, and take care.

Lilies provide us with such exotic glory, each one with it’s own flavor and your photos capture their essence so perfectly.

Love the yellow and pink together!
I think chipmunks are so cute but I guess that can be pesky.
I’ll keep checking back for a new post; but if I don’t see one have a wonderful visit and stay safe.

Beautiful! And I love the quote you have paired them with. These photos make me want to go plant them in my garden.
