To the Bolts: I couldn’t be more proud of you. Thank you Jeff Vinik, Steve Yzerman, Guy Boucher, and all of the players for a fantastic season and post-season. If this was a rebuilding year, I can’t wait for 2011-2012. (Steve Yzerman for GM of the Year!)

I was pulling for the Flyers but Chicago hasn’t won since 1961. And I was very happy with the Flyers effort, they were great all the way through the playoffs.

I’m giving the Gross Misconduct Award to Mike Milbury for making fun of Jeremy Roenick (when he got choked up) on the air during the post game. I’m not a big fan of JR but that was uncalled for and utterly classless – like 90% of everything that comes out of Milbury’s mouth. NBC should have fired him long ago.

Continuing with a virtual vacation on the gulf coast of Florida, today’s “Odd Shot” is the front wall of the Ellenton Ice & Sports Complex (formerly, J.P. Igloo). The sculpture is so large that it can easily be seen from the interstate.

When we weren’t at a Lightning game in Tampa, my camera and I could be found shooting the pickup games at the Igloo.
