A Lazy, Hazy Day
Argyle in Beads
My friend, Beth, has a store on Artfire – JewelrybyBeth. Recently, she added a custom order Argyle peyote bracelet. Her photos are great but the bracelet is even more beautiful in person. Not being shy, I begged for the pattern – which she very kindly shared with me. I chose rust and silver to make mine. The only change I made was to use a sliding bar clasp instead of a button.

Vincent’s Nightmare
My inspiration: Van Gogh’s Exploding TARDIS painting from “The Pandorica Opens” (Doctor Who).
The finished project: It took almost three weeks from design to completion and I enjoyed every minute of it!
A closer look: It’s worked with size 15 Delicas in 3-drop peyote and a picot edging. I used 12 colors and close to 3200 beads. It is not for sale but I will happily share the pattern with Time Lords and Whovian beaders.
Optical Illusion
A new pattern that I designed a couple of days ago. It was actually a mistake that I made while drawing a different pattern. I liked the illusion of the “layers” so well that I decided to keep going.
Close up of the stitch (2-drop peyote worked with size 15′s) and edging.
The Falls
I met some friends at Mural Park in Valdese this afternoon. We had barbeque for lunch and then visited McGalliard Falls.

Textures
Combined netting and right angle weave. This was very hard to photograph but you can see the pattern where the bracelet is hanging over the bar.
